Through the letter, the organisation recommends that the government implement a gender mainstreaming strategy to address institutional sexism and inequality between the sexes on all levels of politics. It also urges the government to retain the Ministry of Equality between Women and Men. In addition, the Centre says that rights for non-binary people should also be protected.
The letter highlights a number of promises from the CSV’s manifesto, including support for single parents, pension inequalities, acceptance of non-binary identities, and legislation against femicide, among others. The organisation says these promises, which were often reflected in other parties’ manifestos, such as coalition partners the DP, have earned their place in the upcoming government programme.
