
Shortly before 9pm on Thursday, a driver crashed into a tree between Nocher and Wiltz. According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), one person was injured. The fire fighters from Wiltz and Goesdorf were on site, as well as the ambulance from Wiltz and the first responder (Samu).
At around the same time, two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Esch-sur-Alzette.
Another motorcyclist fell and injured themselves in Wiltz at around 10.15pm.
In Belvaux, a seven-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle shortly after 5pm on Thursday. The car in question turned out to be lacking the correct registration details.
Around the same time, a car caught fire on the A3 motorway near Croix de Bettembourg. The fire disrupted traffic in both directions but fortunately no one was injured. The emergency services from Dudelange and Bettembourg were on site.
In the following minutes, another fire broke out, this time in an industrial hall located in Rue Joseph Kiefer in Esch-sur-Alzette. The fire brigades from Schifflange, Esch, Mondercange, and Dudelange were mobilised. No one was injured in the fire.
Shortly before 5.30pm, two cars collided in Rue d’Olm in Kehlen. One person was injured. The emergency services from Mamer and Kehlen were on site.
The Bettembourg fire brigade had to put out a fire in the ‘Wolser’ industrial zone at around 6pm.
At around 8.30pm, a container caught fire in Rue des Remparts in Echternach. The fire was dealt with by the town’s fire brigade.
At around 11.30pm, a fire broke out on a construction site in Rue du Fort Demoulin in Luxembourg City. No one was injured.
Finally, at around 2am, garden furniture caught fire on a terrace located in Rue Jean Engling, also in the capital. The fire was quickly brought under control, and no one was injured.
