The little boy was hospitalised with severe injuries as a consequence of the accident.

The boy reportedly ran into the street and a motorist driving on Route de Bettembourg did not see him coming out between two stationed cars. Police estimate that it was not possible for the driver to break in time or evade the child. The boy was severely injured and had to be transported to a hospital after the accident.

Emergency services further report that a collision involving a car and a lorry took place between Schieren and Ettelbruck at 5pm on Tuesday. Two cars also collided in Rodange at 8pm. In both cases, only material damage occurred.
