
In its assessment of the draft bill, the CCDH nevertheless stresses that the measures must be justified by the health situation, and regrets that the divide between the vaccinated and unvaccinated is further increased.
For this reason, the Commission recommends that the government improve its information and communication strategy and further crack down on the spread of misinformation. The CCDH regrets that “a minority” is taking advantage of the “understandable concerns” of certain people, adding that the authorities should have dealt with these concerns in a better way in the first place.
However, the Commission unequivocally condemns the violent acts by a certain group of protesters, as well as the abuse of symbols related to World War II and the Shoah.
The CCDH also calls on the government to ramp up its support for equitable access to the vaccines across the globe.
