At 10.15pm on Thursday, a man was approached by two others on Rue de Bonnevoie. The suspects struck up a conversation before grabbing the victim by the arms and attempting to take his mobile phone. As the victim defended himself, the two suspects fled following a brief scuffle. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Elsewhere, a number of break-ins were reported across the country. Two houses were broken into in Aspelt; fortunately, on both occasions the burglars fled the scene without incident after they were interrupted by residents.
A café in Howald was targeted by thieves overnight, with the perpetrators breaking down the door to gain entry.
Investigations have been opened into all three cases.
