Minister-president Tobias Hans has personally campaigned to reopen the borders with Luxembourg and France, particularly to assist those who commute to work in the neighbouring countries.
Hans asked for cooperation across the borders, but reiterated the importance of border controls, particularly as there were still many people being turned away at the French border for non-essential travel.
