Updated - skeleton found in EschBones found belong to animal, not human: police

Construction workers in Esch-sur-Alzette made a discovery of what initially seemed to be human bones at a building site in Esch-sur-Alzette's Brill neighbourhood on Wednesday morning.

The Lëtzebuerger Wort reported the discovery, which was made at 8.40 am in front of the Museum of Resistance on Rue de l'Alzette. The public prosecutor's office was informed and forensics teams were dispatched.

Police confirmed earlier this Wednesday that the bones belong to an animal, not a human.
