The BLC has a long-standing tradition of selecting both a UK and a Luxembourg-based charity to support through its many fundraising activities. This year they recognized the vital role played by the ALA in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
ALA has been at the forefront of the fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia in Luxembourg for many years. Their work to improve the lives of those impacted by these conditions is far reaching:
Support for Patients and Families: ALA provides crucial support for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as their families and caregivers.
Public Awareness and Education: The organization is deeply committed to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia within the community. They organize events, workshops, and campaigns to educate the public.
Research and Advocacy: ALA actively engages in research initiatives to advance the understanding of Alzheimer’s disease.
Respite and Day Care Services: ALA operates day care centers where individuals with dementia can receive specialized care while their families and caregivers take a much-needed break.
The €2,200 donation will contribute to enhancing the lives of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease, as well as promoting research and awareness. Jade expressed her admiration for ALA, saying, “We are honored to support the Association Luxembourg Alzheimer. The impact they have on our community is immeasurable, and we value their work enormously.”
