Logistics visitBettel and Bausch drop in on CFL hub in Bettembourg

RTL Today
Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Deputy Prime Minister François Bausch visited the CFL multimodal and CFL cargo intermodal site which, as one of the main players in logistics, provides national and international rail freight transport.

The CFL multimodal group in Dudelange-Bettembourg provides connections to many major European ports such as Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Kiel to the north, and Barcelona or Trieste to the south.

The hub connects Luxembourg and the Greater Region to the rest of Europe by road and rail with access to the French, Italian, Turkish, Spanish, German, Eastern European, UK and Scandinavian markets.

After a presentation of the site and the related activities, Xavier Bettel was particularly interested in how the two companies dealt with the pandemic. Logistics had continued throughout the crisis, with many employees participating in the crisis unit.

Afterwards, Xavier Bettel and François Bausch took part in a demonstration of the loading of a semi-trailer on the rail motorway platform.
