A suspicious substance that prompted a major evacuation at the City Concorde shopping centre in Bertrange on Monday evening has been confirmed as harmless. Emergency services cleared the building around 7pm after a suspicious odour was reported.
Following an analysis, authorities ruled out any danger. Two shopping centre employees were taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
The operation, which ended at 10.10pm, involved a large response from emergency services, including two SAMU units, ambulances from Luxembourg City and Mamer, and firefighters from Bertrange, Mamer, Luxembourg City, Pétange, and Dippach.
