20 police officers patrolled bars in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday night to check whether owners were in possession of alcohol-serving licenses. While all establishments were able to show valid authorisations, nine customers were found to be carrying drugs at the time of the controls. Officers issued fines in each of the cases.
Also on Friday night, police stopped drink drivers in Diekirch, Luxembourg City, and Hosingen. Each of the motorists had their license revoked as a consequence.
