Police report that an altercation involving an axe occurred in Pétange on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place on 6 November in a building on Route de Longwy, where police arrived to find both the victim and the assailant at the scene.
Initial reports indicate that a dispute between two individuals escalated, resulting in one person being injured by an axe. After receiving first aid on-site, the victim was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Following an order from the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an examining magistrate on the morning of 7 November 2024.
