Luxembourg CityAvenue de la Gare partially closed off on Saturday due to construction work

Avenue de la Gare will be closed off between rue du Fort Bourbon and boulevard d'Avranches from 7.30 am until 2.30 pm.

Motorists will be redirected. The construction work will also affect public transport in the capital, in particular lines 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 13, 14, 18, 23, and 29.

This will lead to the following changes:

  • The stop Al Avenue Quai 1 for lines 4, 10, 13, 14, and 18 in the direction of the city centre and 23 in the direction of Grund-Pfaffenthal will be removed and replaced by a temporary stop at boulevard d'Avranches, opposite the end of rue du Fort Wallis;
  • the stop Al Avenue Quai 1 for line29 in the direction of Luxembourg Airport will be removed and replaced by the stop Wallis Quai 2 (rue Bender);
  • the stops Wallis Quai 1 (line 5) and Wallis Quai 3 (lines 2 and 9) in the direction of the city centre will be removed and replaced by a temporary stop at boulevard d'Avranches, opposite the exit of rue du Fort Wallis.
  • The stop Roosevelt Quai 2 will not be served in the direction of quartier de la Gare. Passengers are asked to go to the stop Hamilius Quai 2 (lines 2, 4, 9, 10, 14, and 18) or Monterey Quai 2 (lines 5 and 13).
