An artist has filed a complaint with police after a wooden sculpture was stolen in northern Luxembourg.

Images widely shared on social media in recent days show a man stealing a wooden dog sculpture from the studio of artist Nuno Mafra, located near the Upper Sûre Lake.

Mafra had spent a day working on the sculpture. The theft was captured by a trail camera on 14 May. The images show the man taking the sculpture away. The artist subsequently posted the video on Facebook but has so far received no concrete response. On Wednesday afternoon, he also filed an official complaint with the police in Wiltz.

According to Mafra, this is the first time something has been stolen from his workplace. He said he was "not happy" that someone simply took the sculpture. Nevertheless, he intends to continue working in his studio in the woods.
