The army has begun handing out masks on the parking “E” at Findel airport. They are given to selected businesses allowed to kickstart work life from Monday onwards. Five masks per person will be made available.
Other businesses will receive their share over the coming days via post.
The government has organised the distribution alphabetically to keep the number of people arriving simultaneously as low as possible. They are also expected to show identification upon arrival.
People are expected to consult with officials to better organise the allocation of masks. Tom Wirion, general director of the chamber of handicrafts, explained that people should also be aware that demand would be high on Friday, and should come at a later stage if possible. Masks will be handed out over the entire weekend from 9 am to 6 pm.
