Minister of Health Paulette Lenert made the announcement on Sunday evening. An update to the CovidCheck system should allow the app to detect fraudulent certificates.
Should you have deactivated automatic app updates, you can still do the change manually by accessing the App store or Google Play on your smartphone. Officials further recommend that people “synchronise the app with the national system”, which can be done from within the CovidCheck.
The Ministry of Health has also put out a reminder that people who receive a third booster jab will have their app updated as soon as the shot is administered.
