The fire started on the third floor of a building on Thursday. The affected flat was engulfed in flames.
Around 50 fire fighters were on site. It took until the late evening until the fire was brought under control.
Two people were admitted to hospital for a check-up.
The fire brigades from Bertrange, Strassen, Mamer, and Luxembourg City were on site.
The emergency services have also reported three road accidents on Thursday.
At around 11.30am, a car heading towards Fouhren crashed into a tree on the N17B near Bettel. One person was injured. The emergency services from Diekirch and Tandel were on site.
A collision between two vehicles occurred on the N10 between Mertert and Grevenmacher. Three people were injured. The emergency services from Grevenmacher-Mertert, Junglinster, and Echternach were on site.
Following an accident in rue de Tétange in Kayl at around 11.50am, the road had to be cleared.
