The past few days have been marked by road accidents in which cars have hit pedestrians. On Wednesday morning, a woman was hit by a car on Route du Vin.

The woman crossed the road at the junction of Route du Vin and Rue de la Moselle at around 7.35 am. A car coming from Mertert crashed into the woman, the impact of the crash throwing her across the ground. The pedestrian was lightly injured and taken to hospital.

Mertert firefighters and a Junglinster ambulance were at the scene. The accident caused traffic disruptions.

Two people were hit by cars in two separate accidents on Monday evening, one in Rodange and the other in Bonnevoie. On Friday, a pedestrian was fatally wounded after being hit by a car in Esch-sur-Alzette.
