Amir Vesali, former co-president of the Young Socialists, has left the LSAP to join the parliamentary group of the CSV as a staff member.

Amir Vesali has left the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP) and will take up a new position as a staff member in the parliamentary group of the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV). However, Vesali has not yet decided whether he will also become a member of the CSV.

The news was first reported by Radio 100,7 and subsequently confirmed by the former co-president of the Young Socialists himself upon enquiry by RTL. Until now, Vesali held the position of parliamentary attaché within the LSAP parliamentary group.

Vesali explained that he is no longer a member of the LSAP but has not yet made a decision regarding possible membership in the CSV. He declined to provide a reason for the change.

Vesali, who studied law, was recently appointed to the board of the Centre for Equal Treatment following a vote in the Chamber of Deputies.
