According to APESS, the Association of Secondary School Teachers, which commissioned a technical audit on the integrity of Luxembourg’s school system. The findings are described as alarming: the traditional written exam has effectively been compromised as a cognitive assessment tool. The arrival of local, autonomous AI combined with completely discreet hardware, such as smart glasses or small in-ear devices, could make cheating virtually impossible to detect.

APESS had intended to present its audit to the Conseil Supérieur de l’Éducation Nationale in order to inform the education partners. However, the bureau of the council refused and instead referred the association to a meeting behind closed doors.
