According to the police, a car struck a pedestrian at around 4.30pm on Tuesday. The driver, who attempted to swerve to avoid the pedestrian, ended up crashing into a lamppost.
A second vehicle then collided with the first car.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
