The accident took place shortly before 5.30pm.
According to the rescue report, two ambulances were sent to the scene as well as an emergency vehicle operated by the fire brigade.
The emergency services did not disclose any information on the condition of the injured person.
Shortly afterwards, at around 7.40pm, another accident occurred in the capital. One person was injured in another collision between two cars. The emergency services from Luxembourg City were despatched to the scene.
A motorcyclist crashed in Hobscheid shortly before 8pm. He was injured and treated by the rescue teams of Steinfort and Hobscheid.
Almost at the same time, a car crashed into a tree in Oberpallen. One person was injured. An ambulance from Redange was sent to the scene of the accident.
