Bascharage police have released a facial composite image in the hunt for a suspect involved in a mugging earlier this year.

The suspect was one of two men who threatened their victim with a knife at 11am on 25 July 2025, near the "Bim Diederich" sports centre in Pétange. The incident occurred on the footpath near the Kuerbuttek shop. Both attackers fled afterwards.

Police have now released an image matching the suspect's description in conjunction with an appeal for witnesses or other information. Anyone who recognises the individual is encouraged to contact the police on (+352) 244 56 1000 or via email at police.BASCHARAGEPETANGE@police.etat.lu.
