In Grevenmacher, two burglars were caught in the act and later arrested by police after targeting a restaurant.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, police received reports of a robbery at a restaurant in Grevenmacher. Two suspects broke into the building and stole a number of food items, as well as bottles of alcohol. They were caught in the act by a witness who alerted the police. Officers arrived at the scene and were able to take both burglars into custody. The stolen items were returned to the restaurant and both men were duly arrested and brought before a judge.

Break-ins were also reported in other areas of the country on Sunday. A thief broke into a property on Rue des Lavandes in Strassen, gaining access through a patio door. In Sandweiler another burglar damaged a garage door in order to access a house and search all the rooms and cupboards. Investigations have been launched into both incidents.

Finally, several cars were broken into on Rue Gaston Barbanson, Dudelange, on Sunday morning, as thieves stole valuables and cash. Other items were stolen from cars parked on Rue de Dudelange in Kayl. Police have launched enquiries into the thefts.
