Young politicians from the ADR are calling on Education Minister Claude Meisch to scrap a new French literacy project, which they allege will lead to the "dissolution" of national traditions.
The youth wing of the Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR), known as "Adrenalin," has publicly criticised the government's planned French literacy programme, the ALPHA project.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the group argued that the initiative would not foster integration but would instead divide society. Adrenalin claimed the project would accelerate the "dissolution of the Luxembourgish language, culture, and tradition."
Consequently, the young politicians are calling on the Minister of Education, Claude Meisch, to halt the project.
