This weekend, the Fond-de-Gras in Niederkorn transformed into a world of fantasy and invention as the 13th edition of its steampunk festival took over Minett Park, marking the last major event of the season and drawing crowds eager to immerse themselves in an era that never really existed.

Steampunk, inspired by the imagination of authors such as Jules Verne, blends Victorian flair with futuristic aspirations. The festival grounds were alive with extravagant costumes, eccentric contraptions, and performers whose creativity seemed to know no bounds. Visitors can marvel at whimsical machines, brass goggles gleaming in the autumn sun, and families strolling through a landscape where the past and future are entwined.

The historic setting of the Fond-de-Gras made the spectacle all the more vivid. Arriving on the heritage Train 1900 from Pétange, or by hopping aboard the mine railway, guests began their journey as if stepping back into another age. Shuttle buses were also available, ensuring easy access to the park.

On Sunday, the event runs from 11am until 6pm, offering a full day of entertainment, discovery, and imagination.
