Due to the start of the third stage of the Škoda Tour de Luxembourg, several roads and car parks in Mertert will be closed to traffic on Friday 19 September 2025 from 7am to 3pm.
The closures will affect Rue du Parc, Cité Pierre Frieden, and Place de la Gare, which will all be fully closed for the race start. Parking will also be unavailable at the large P&R car park at the entrance to Mertert, at Place de la Gare, in Rue du Parc, at the football ground, and at the cultural centre.
In Wasserbillig, additional restrictions will apply to parking. It will be prohibited along a 50-metre stretch of the promenade along the Moselle and on Rue du Bocksberg.
Authorities advise using alternative routes that day to minimise congestion and disruption. Drivers wishing to use their cars in the area are asked to remove them from affected streets before 8am.
