The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to four separate road accidents that left several people injured, and to a chalet fire overnight.

The first incident took place around 5.15pm on the A1 near Trier, where a motorcyclist fell and sustained injuries.

Shortly afterwards, two cars collided in Neudorf, leaving one person injured. Another accident occurred on the A4 near Esch-sur-Alzette just after 8.15pm, when a vehicle struck an object on the road, once again resulting in injuries.

Two more people were hurt in a further collision between Hobscheid and Saeul, where debris had also been left on the carriageway.

Finally, in Wahlhausen, shortly after 12.30am, a chalet caught fire.
