Motorists in Luxembourg face night-time diversions from September to early November as motorway tunnels undergo routine cleaning and maintenance works.
From 1 September until early November, night-time cleaning and maintenance will affect motorway tunnels across Luxembourg, leading to diversions, according to the Road Authority. The works mark the second maintenance and cleaning campaign of 2025, beginning with the Gousselerbierg tunnel. Preventive checks will be carried out on safety equipment, with damaged elements to be replaced and tunnels to be thoroughly cleaned.
To minimise disruption to traffic, most of the work will take place at night.
