A cyclist suffered a fall on the N7 near Hoscheid and consequently required the rescue helicopter's assistance.

Police said the incident occurred near the Maarkebaach river and that the cyclist fell as a result of suddenly feeling very unwell. Emergency services and the air ambulance administered treatment to the patient. Further details were not released.

The road was closed for some time afterwards to allow for clean-up activities.
