On Thursday, the Grand Ducal police issued an appeal for witnesses after a cyclist was hit by a vehicle from behind on Sunday 24 August.

The incident is said to have taken place at 9.40pm on the CR338, on the approach to Lieler. The cyclist was travelling in the direction of the village when she was hit by a vehicle from behind. The driver fled the scene, while the cyclist was left with serious injuries.
