
Meteolux has issued a yellow heat alert for the south of Luxembourg from 11am to 8pm on Wednesday, with maximum temperatures of up to 32°C expected. The yellow warning applies to the southern parts of the Grand Duchy for most of the day. Urban areas and regions along the Moselle river could see highs of up to 34°C.
A second alert has now been issued for the early hours of Thursday, 26 June, from midnight to 7am. Meteolux warns of possible thunderstorms affecting the entire country, with rainfall amounts of around 15 l/m² in a short time and gusts of wind reaching up to 80 km/h.
