During Wednesday afternoon’s session, the Parliamentary Committee for Home Affairs examined draft legislation concerning local police units. The discussion followed pre-debate proposals from the Green Party (Déi Gréng), which submitted several amendments to the bill.

The opposition party emphasised the need for clearer operational guidelines in the legislation. Specifically, the Green Party called for precise definitions regarding deployment conditions for municipal police units as well as the scope of duties and responsibilities.
