An unfolding security incident prompted the complete closure of Rue du Nord in Esch-sur-Alzette, with law enforcement and specialists responding to an undisclosed finding at a social welfare organisation's location.
Authorities cordoned off Rue du Nord in Esch-sur-Alzette near Parc Laval as police and fire brigade teams conducted a joint operation Wednesday afternoon.
An RTL photographer at the scene confirmed security perimeters were established around a local social welfare organisation’s premises. Specialised teams were trying to identify an unknown substance discovered at the location.
At around 1.30pm the operation was over.
