The Luxembourg City chapter of the Green Party (Déi Gréng) has confirmed an upcoming change to its city council representation.

In a Saturday morning statement, the party announced that Councillor Claudine Reyland will conclude her municipal mandate in September. The veteran politician, who served eight years on the city council and a total of 15 years in local politics, had co-led the party’s ticket in the last municipal elections. Reyland, a veterinarian by profession, has decided to reduce her political commitments.

Her successor, Liudumila Vanira Branca, will assume the council seat following Reyland’s departure.
