Luxembourg's social safety net has received a significant boost as of 1 May 2025, with wages, pensions, family benefits, and key social allowances all rising in line with the new 2.5% wage indexation.

The 2.5% wage indexation implemented on 1 May 2025 has automatically adjusted numerous social benefits and thresholds in Luxembourg.

Minimum wages have risen to record levels, with unskilled workers now receiving €2,703.74 and skilled workers earning €3,244.48.

The minimum pension has surpassed €2,300 for the first time, reaching €2,350.89. Family benefits have seen corresponding increases, with child allowances now at €307.35, and the minimum parental leave allowance matches the unskilled minimum wage at €2,703.74.

The adjustment extends to major social benefits including the inclusion allowance (€948.49 for adults), Social Inclusion Income or REVIS (€1,895.52 for one person), cost-of-living allowance (€1,817.00 for one person), and support for severely disabled persons (€1,896.98).

Additionally, the National Health Fund (CNS) has updated medical service rates, resulting in increased costs for basic healthcare services. A standard GP consultation now costs €60.98, according to calculations by our colleagues from RTL Infos.

All updated benefit amounts and thresholds are available on the website of the Ministry of Social Security.
