Six students from St George’s International School in Luxembourg were celebrated for achieving the highest marks in the world, Europe, and Luxembourg in their respective subjects.

The recognition came as part of the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards, which honor the top-performing international students worldwide across all levels of Pearson Edexcel qualifications, including International GCSEs and A levels.

Among the honorees, Elsa H. earned the highest mark in the world for A-level psychology, Mathilda M. achieved the highest mark globally for A-level history, and Elena W. secured the highest mark worldwide for GCSE maths. Additionally, Stefan B. received the highest mark in Europe for A-level further maths and the top score in Luxembourg for A-level maths. Sara G. earned the highest marks in Luxembourg for both GCSE English language and GCSE history, while Charlotte K. was recognized for achieving the best mark in Luxembourg for GCSE English literature.

Claire Simmonds, Head of Secondary, expressed her pride in the students’ achievements, highlighting their “unique strengths and dedication.” She also acknowledged the vital role of the school staff in supporting the students’ success.

St George’s Principal, Zeba Clarke, emphasized that the awards reflect the students’ “dedication and commitment” and praised the strength of the school community, which includes students, staff, and families. She also noted the students’ active roles in both the school and the wider Luxembourg community, adding that they embody the school’s values of “courage, kindness, and wisdom.”

The students received their awards, which included a certificate, a medal from Pearson Edexcel, and a gift voucher from St George’s, at a special ceremony attended by their families and school staff.
