Shortly before midday, two cars collided on Rue Joseph Kieffer in Esch-sur-Alzette. Rescue teams from Esch and Rumelange were dispatched to assist, and one person was injured in the crash. A short time later, another collision occurred on Route d’Arlon in the Belair district of Luxembourg City, again involving two vehicles. Teams from Luxembourg City responded, with two people sustaining injuries.
Later in the afternoon, just after 3pm, a motorcyclist was injured after falling off their bike in Echternach. The local rescue services assisted at the scene.
The fire and rescue services also dealt with two separate fire incidents. In Schrassig, a cell fire broke out at the Luxembourg Penitentiary Centre. Teams from Niederanven, Hesperange, and Luxembourg City intervened, with one person reported injured.
Meanwhile, at around 3.30pm, a house fire was reported in Bertrange. Firefighters from Luxembourg City, Mamer, and Bertrange, along with the city’s emergency medical service (SAMU), responded to the scene. One person was injured in this incident as well.
