Spotify subscribers in Luxembourg have been hit with an unwelcome surprise this spring: the streaming giant has increased its subscription prices.

The Individual plan, still priced at €10.99 in March, has now risen to €12.99. Other plans have also gone up – the Student plan now costs €6.99 (+€1), the Duo plan €17.99 (+€3), and the Family plan €21.99 (+€4). Despite the higher prices, the subscription features remain unchanged.

When compared to neighbouring countries, Luxembourg stands out as the priciest in the Greater Region. The Individual plan is €1 cheaper in Belgium, and €2 less in both France and Germany.

Spotify explained the decision by saying that as the platform grows, its Premium prices are periodically adjusted to support continued innovation in a fast-changing market.
