A fatal 2002 plane crash involving a Luxair Fokker aircraft, which resulted in 20 fatalities, is now the subject of a National Geographic documentary examining its causes and aftermath.
The 2002 crash of a Luxair Fokker airplane has been featured in National Geographic's documentary series Air Crash Investigation.
The incident, which occurred on 6 November 2002, saw the aircraft crash between Roodt-sur-Syre and Niederanven, claiming the lives of 20 people. The pilot and one passenger survived but sustained severe injuries.
An official investigation determined that the crash was caused by a combination of human error and technical defects in the aircraft.
The case has now been revisited in Season 24, Episode 4 of Air Crash Investigation, a series by National Geographic that examines and re-enacts the chain of events leading to aviation disasters.
