Restaurant Apdikt, which earned its Michelin star just two years ago, will serve its final guests at the end of this year. The closure, scheduled for 23 December 2026, was announced by chef and co-owner Mathieu Van Wetteren and his wife, Alice Meyer, in a statement issued on Thursday.

However, the couple made it clear that their story in Steinfort does not end with Apdikt. While the Apdikt name – meaning pharmacy in Luxembourgish, in reference to the building formerly housing a pharmacy – will move on, Van Wetteren and Meyer will remain in Steinfort, working on what they describe as "something new".

Specific details about the next venture have not been revealed. They did, however, share a name: Maison Alma, which is expected to be the title of their next project in Steinfort.

“Alice and I will stay here. In this same place, we are already working on something new, shaped by the past 10 years, but with the freedom of starting from a blank page", the couple said.

In the meantime, Apdikt will continue to welcome diners until 23 December, leaving them with a couple of months of service ahead. Van Wetteren and Meyer say they look forward to seeing familiar faces and sharing memorable experiences with their guests around the table before the final service.
