How to further protect yourself from the flu?

To further protect yourself from the seasonal flu, it’s important to follow these preventative measures in addition to getting vaccinated:

  • Wash your hands regularly with water and soap for at least 30 seconds, making sure to clean your fingers, palms, the back of your hands, and beneath your nails.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If a tissue isn’t available, use the crook of your elbow to prevent the spread of droplets.
  • Dispose of used tissues immediately in the bin and wash your hands right after.
  • Avoid physical contact such as hugs, kisses, and handshakes, especially when flu cases are high.
  • Steer clear of crowded places and gatherings during the flu season to minimize exposure.
  • Stay at home if you are feeling unwell to avoid spreading the virus to others.
  • Ventilate rooms regularly, at least 3-4 times a day for 10 minutes, to ensure good air circulation.

By following these simple measures, everyone can help protect their own health and contribute to the well-being of others.
