Between 6 pm on Christmas Eve and 1.30 am on Christmas Day, the emergency services were called out seven times across Luxembourg.
Already at around 6 pm, a fire was reported about a ventilation system on rue de Bragance in Hollerich. Nobody was injured.
A first collision between two cars resulted in one person being injured earlier in the evening at around 7.20 pm in Hamiville's rue principale. The person taken to hospital by an ambulance from Clervaux.
At around 11.30pm, the Sanem-Differdange and Esch-sur-Alzette emergency teams were called to the A13 towards Schengen, where two cars had collided. One person was injured and taken to hospital.
A third accident occurred at around midnight on rue de Noertrange in Wiltz, as did a road slip on the N31 between Budersberg and Kayl at around 10 pm. The car ended up in the ditch. Fortunately, in both cases, no one was injured.
At around 1.30 am on 25 December, the Hesperange and Roeserbann fire brigades intervened on the A3 to extinguish a car that had caught fire on the motorway for an unknown reason.
Around the same time, the Findel, Luxembourg, Sandweiler and Junglinster fire brigades were called because of ‘smoke coming from a battery’ in a house on rue Aldringen in Luxembourg City. No injuries were reported.
