Police in the capital conducted traffic checks at the Schuman roundabout in Limpertsberg and on Grand-Rue on Thursday, resulting in several fines for violations and two confiscated e-scooters.

In total, patrols noted 16 violations of the road traffic act, as six motorists ignored signs prohibiting traffic, and three were ticketed for driving in pedestrian zones outside of the permitted timeframe.

Two drivers were fined for using their mobile phone at the wheel, and two were fined over their windows not adhering to standards. One driver lacked the correct documents.

In addition, officers checked seven e-scooters. Two were confiscated by order of the public prosecutor's office as the riders travelled faster than the 25 km/h limit.
