The Water Management Authority has announced that recent rainfall will cause the Moselle River's water level to rise.
Snow and rainfall in recent hours are expected to affect the water levels of the Moselle River. "Due to the rainfall in the Moselle catchment area, the water levels of the Moselle will rise significantly today and tomorrow," warns the Water Management Authority. They have thus issued a yellow awareness level.
They add: "The reporting level of 530 cm at the Stadtbredimus gauge (Remich 452 cm) is expected to be exceeded on Monday night. A peak level at the Stadtbredimus gauge is expected tomorrow around noon, reaching approximately 550 cm."
