On Thursday evening, music prizes were awarded at the Philharmonie, with a total of 30 musicians and bands nominated for seven different categories.
All in all, there were seven price categories for the awards given out. The award for "upcoming artist" consisted of €2,500, whereas categories such as "behind the scenes" and "on stage" were each awarded with €3,500. The winner of the category entitled "leisure music" took home a total of €2,500.
The arguably most important category was the "National Music Prize", which honours one Luxembourgish personality for their career and their sustainable dedication to the music scene. The winner of the "National Music Prize" won €10,000.
The winners were elected by a professional jury.
