A busy Friday night for police in Luxembourg included multiple drink driving cases, a burglary in Mondercange, and an inebriated pedestrian spotted on the A1 motorway.

A person was reported walking on the A1 motorway near Kirchberg at around 6am on early Saturday morning. Police located the individual and found them to be inebriated. Following a medical check-up, the person was placed in custody to sober up.

On Friday night, police stopped several motorists for drink driving in various locations, including Cessange, Sanem, Niederkorn, and Boulevard Pétrusse in Luxembourg City. In the latter case, the driver was caught using the bus lane. All the drivers involved had their licences revoked.

Police also responded to a burglary in Mondercange on Friday evening. Unknown individuals broke into a house by forcing open a window and then a door, ransacking several rooms before fleeing with valuables. Crime scene investigators were called to examine the property.
