On Wednesday, the Luxembourg police reported the arrest of two suspects in Schouweiler and Luxembourg City, respectively. The arrests took place on Saturday.
At around midday on 23 November, the police received reports of an individual who had broken into a vehicle on Rue de la Gare in Schouweiler. A patrol was despatched and found that several vehicles had been broken into. An unidentified culprit had smashed the windows of three cars parked in the car park of the local railway station. Officers were able to locate a suspect nearby and proceeded to apprehend them. They were arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.
Suspected drug trafficker arrested
On Saturday night, a police patrol spotted an individual they suspected of being a drug dealer in the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City. Over the course of their investigations, the police discovered that the suspect had already spoken to a potential customer.
The suspect was intercepted near Rue du Fort Elisabeth and inspected. The officers noticed "suspicious swallowing movements." The public prosecutor's office ordered a CT scan, which the suspect refused, however. As a result, they were arrested and brought before an examining magistrate the following day.
