Luxair is advancing its fleet renewal programme with the recent arrival of its second Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which landed at Luxembourg Airport on Saturday afternoon. The first of these aircraft was delivered at the end of 2025, with regular flight operations commencing early in 2026.
The Embraer E195-E2 is designed to be quieter and more environmentally friendly, boasting approximately 25% fewer emissions compared to its predecessors.
The new aircraft departed from São José dos Campos in Brazil on Friday, with a stopover in Recife before continuing to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. It completed the final leg to Luxembourg on Saturday, making a timely arrival at 5.10pm.
