At around 2am on Sunday, police were called to a dispute in an apartment building in Esch-sur-Alzette. At the scene, officers encountered a man and a woman.

The woman behaved very uncooperatively towards the officers, threatening and insulting them and repeatedly attempting to push them away. As she was visibly intoxicated, the officers decided to place her in custody. While they were doing so, the woman spat at the officers.

A report was filed regarding the incident and a complaint was lodged for assaulting and resisting police officers.

Over the course of the night from Saturday to Sunday, police were also called out around 20 times due to various disputes. About half a dozen of these involved family disputes. In one case, a person was ordered to leave the premises on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office.

Finally, police were also alerted to around ten fights during the night. One of these occurred in Dudelange, where about a dozen people reportedly got into a fight in front of a pub, with bottles and glasses being thrown. However, by the time officers arrived, the altercation had already ended. A search for those involved was unsuccessful.
